We offer walk-in, no appointment needed Notary Public service. However because some notarizations may become complex, you may be asked to wait a few moments so we can give you our undivided attention, and provide you with more appropriate privacy.

Please be sure to bring appropriate ID. (Examples: Drivers License, state issued ID card, Passport.) Any forms should be completed, except the signature. If witnesses in addition to the Notary are required, you need to arrange for them to be present as well. We do not provide additional witnesses.

We can notarize any document that can legally be notarized. However, please note the following exceptions:

Handwritten Documents

Due to liability issues, we cannot notarize handwritten documents.

Federal Form I-9

Form I-9 cannot be notarized. The employer certification section must be completed by the employer, not a Notary Public. It would be a violation of the law for a Notary Public to affix his or her seal to this document, or sign it in their official capacity.

Copies of Official Documents or Public Records

We cannot notarize or certify copies of official documents or public records. Certified copies of these documents should be obtained by the issuing agency, or the agency where they are officially filed. (For example, certified copies of birth certificates should be obtained from the county clerk in the county in which the birth took place.)

Documents in Foreign Languages

We can only notarize documents that both the signee and the notary can read. We currently do not have any notaries who can read languages other than English.

We must be able to communicate directly with the signer of any documents. We cannot use translators. The signer must understand what they are signing, and be able to communicate that they both understand the consequences, and are accepting the consequences of signing.

Notary Publics may not practice law. We cannot advise you on which document to use, or how to fill-out any forms. We do not provide any legal forms.

Fees: We charge the rate specified by the State ofOregon in Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR 160-100-0400). That is $10 per notary act (signature).


Gold Medallion Signature Guarantee

A Gold Medallion Signature Guarantee, sometimes erroneously referred to as a type of notarization, is NOT a service of a Notary Public. Notary Publics are agents of the State commissioned by the State. A Gold Medallion Signature Guarantee is something a bank or other financial institution does when it pledges its bonding to a document. It has nothing to do with notarizing a signature. 

Since we are not a bank or financial institution, we cannot provide a Gold Medallion Signature Guarantee. You must go to a bank or other financial institution for that, and the employee who provides it may or may not also be a Notary Public. If you need something notarized, you need to see a Notary Public. If you need a Gold Medallion Signature Guarantee, you just need to see an authorized bank employee. The two are NOT interchangable.
