The UPS Store location at Eagles Landing was opened in November of 2001 by Jon Holland. It was a Mail Boxes Etc. originally, but it changed to The UPS Store in April of 2004, after UPS purchased the Mail Boxes Etc. corporation and most locations were re-imaged to become The UPS Store. This was the largest retail re-imaging ever in the US as over 4,000 Mail Boxes Etc. locations changed to The UPS Store in just a few months.
Jon opened his first location in Henry County in 1998 in the Kroger shopping center on Jonesboro Rd. in McDonough. In 1999 he opened another location in Athens, GA near the UGA campus (this location was sold in 2003). As mentioned previously, the Eagles Landing location was opened in Nov. 2001. In May 2002 he opened another location in McDonough in the Publix shopping center on Hwy 81 East (near Lake Dow). Currently Jon operates the three locations in Henry County with his partner Mike Reeves, who joined him in Nov. 2005. Mike works primarily with the two locations in McDonough.
The Eagles Landing location is one of the largest locations in the network with high volume services and equipment not available in many other locations. Eagles Landing has been a leader in Document Services (ie. Copies, Color Copies, Printing and Design) in Georgia and the Southeast for several years now.
In addition to these services and more, the Eagles Landing location is a high volume shipping location for UPS and UPS Freight. The UPS Store offers UPS shipping services at “counter rates”. This means NO MARK UP. UPS rates at The UPS Store are the same as shipping at the UPS hubs and customer counters. This is because The UPS Store is a “UPS” franchise. There are other places to ship UPS (ie: Mail & More, Post Net, SOHO Hero, Goin Postal, etc.) but rates at The UPS Store are up to 30% less than these. In some cases over 30% less.
The UPS Store at Eagles Landing, as well as the two in McDonough, offer the lowest price for shipping than our competitors in Henry County. In today’s economy why pay a lot more? Seriously, why pay anymore than you have to.
Come on in and see for yourself why it is better to do business with the Real Thing.
