In the Community

We are dedicated to aiding homeless animals in our community and participate in numerous fundraisers for a local rescue group and our community animal shelter; including yard sales, auctions, and pet parades. We print much of the posters and flyers for all events as part of our donations. We even sell pet related items in our store and all profits go directly to the shelter. A donation jar is also on our counter to collect much needed funds for a local rescue group.
This picture of Michele and her newly adopted puppy, Hooper, is from this year's Key Largo Animal Shelter Santa Paws Pet Parade.
Over the past four years we have sponsored dozens of events such as the Annual Chili Cookoff, which is a Rotary fundraiser for scholarships, Cystic Fibrosis walk-a-thon, and Ladies Dolphin Fishing Tournament. The list goes on and on. We have a community board in our store and invite customers to post upcoming events which we participate in, that board is always full!
One notable event was immediately after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Our store became a major staging area for donations of much needed provisions. Over 20 truck loads of items were taken to the Coast Guard facility and loaded on a ship headed for Louisiana.
