In the Community
During our Toys for Tots Literacy Program donation drive in November and December we collected approximately $283, thanks to all of you. This money goes towards purchasing books thru our partners the USMC and Scholastic Publishing company. Scholastic has agreed to sell children's books for $1 each and then they're donated to children in our local communities.
The mission is to offer our nation's most economically disadvantaged children the ability to compete academically. It's designed to help them suceed in life by providing direct access to resources that will enhance their ability to read and to communicate effectively.
The UPS Store at Peterkort Towne Square supports the Komen Race for the Cure. We sponsored a small team of walkers for the last 4 years in the Komen Race for the Cure. At the Race we also sponsored a booth with the other The UPS Stores in town and gave away 5000 day packs to participants in the race.
