Bangor, ME, 2/27/2009 - As the national unemployment rate creeps closer to eight percent, The UPS Store at 499 Broadway is doing what it can to help those affected by providing fax services for free.
“The country is in a tough economic situation right now. So it’s necessary that we pull together and help out where we can. In order to receive free fax at The UPS Store, all you have to do is bring in your resume and the fax number to the respective business in which you’re seeking employment - it’s that simple,” said Rick Marston, The UPS Store franchisee.
As there is no clear end in sight to the economic slump, The UPS Store will offer free fax services from March 2009 until the outlook is more positive. “ We truly want to be of service to our community for as long as it takes. We also have a number of services, other than faxing, that may assist someone who is unemployed,” Says Marston.
In addition to domestic and international shipping, The UPS Store offers full service packing, digital printing, black-and-white and color duplications, document finishing (binding, laminating, etc.), notary, printing services (business cards, letterhead, rubber stamps, etc.), custom crating and shipping for large items (e.g., grandfather clocks, rowboats), mailbox and postal services, office and packaging supplies and more.
