About Our Center
Pat Drake opened the store in September 1994 as a Mail Boxes Etc. franchise with just herself and one part-time employee. Later that year, Mack Paul came in as a customer to rent a mail box and a friendship developed between Pat & Mack. Over the years the friendship became a romance and they were married in June 1997. Shortly after that, they began working together. In April 2003 UPS became the parent company of Mail Boxes Etc., resulting in a name change to The UPS Store.

For 16 years, Pat, Mack & their staff have been providing their customers with excellent customer service to New Bern and the surrounding communities. During that time our store has won numerous awards from our franchise for sales records and customer service. In addtion, we have been recognized by several civic and social organizations for our involvement in charitable causes.
