The UPS Store at Lake Ella Plaza (corner of Tharpe and N. Monroe streets) opened in December 2002. Since that time it has grown to become the largest UPS retail shipping center in the five county regional marketing area . In addition, it battles monthly for the #1 or #2 ranking in the 47 store north Florida / southern Georgia area markets. Why is this important to our customers? Because it means we have been successful in expanding our services to meet more of your needs. For example - shipping by Freight. At this moment you might not think you would ever need to ship an item on a 53-foot tractor trailer. But if you ever find yourself shipping a piece of furniture to settle an estate, delivering materials to a convention center or sending that oversized painting to your vacation/retirement getaway - you just might need freight shipping . And we'll be there to help.
What about our pricing? Our pricing is at UPS "retail counter" rates. Meaning we are the same as UPS Hub/Distribution center pricing - NO ADDITIONAL MARK UP! This is because The UPS Store is a MBE/UPS franchise operation. There are other places to ship UPS (i.e. Post Net, Goin Postal, EasyMail, etc.) however, rates at The UPS Store are up to 30% less than these operations. In some cases over 30% less.
We stock over 40 sizes of corrugated boxes, packaging "peanuts", 2" foam boards to build in maximum protection, tape, crating materials and much more. We are Certified Professional packers. If we pack your merchandise, and somthing should happen to it in the shipping process, both your shipping cost and packaging cost are 100% protected - that's our Pack & Ship Promise.
We are often asked "what's the most unusual thing you've ever shipped?" How about a "Food, Glorious, Foods" 10 inch carrot cake (that weighs 11 pounds on my scales), a wedding dress to Spain, Iasagna to Washington state, antlers to Montana (as if you couldn't find them there), Florida watermelons to Oregon, automobiles and how about this - a model airplane measuring 3 feet long and made from balsa wood by an 11-year-old boy living in Nigeria - in 1967!
In closing, you are invited to call or come in and meet us. Whatever your need, we'll do all we can to help you .
