Environmentally conscience owners and staff of The Chico UPS Stores strive to do their part in recycling and reducing paper waste. We accept clean, used Styrofoam peanuts, and sturdy cardboard. We also reuse and recycle paper.
Toys For Tots Literacy Program
Did you know that according to the National Educational Statistics "Reading Report" from 2007, 33% of all fourth graders in this country still cannot read at even the basic level? The UPS Store and Mail Boxes Etc. network have joined up with Toys For Tots once again to advocate the literacy and educational needs of disadvantaged children.
This new initiative, The Toys For Tots Literacy Program, will maintain the Toys For Tots mission of delivering hope and inspiration. It will allow them to extend their reach and impact in a very meaningful way by providing children in need with the tools that can help them break the cycle of poverty.
You can help by donating funds and new or used books (in good condition) to your local The UPS Store. Proceeds donated locally to the Toys For Tots Literacy Program will go to help children in Chico. Books will go to the Sunshine Kids Club of Chico, an organization that designs activities for all children to participate in, with or without disabilities.
